muupo Privacy Policy
This is an English translation for reference. The Japanese version is the official version; if they differ, the Japanese version prevails.
ORCADOT, K.K. (“we”) handles information about users of the iPhone app “muupo” (the “App”) and the website muupo.app as described below.
1. Information we handle and why
1-1. Information handled only on your device (never sent to our servers)
- The apps, categories and websites you choose to block: handled on your device through iOS Screen Time (Family Controls). The names and list of the apps you choose are never sent to us.
- Your block schedules, times and usage records, and your ikimono’s (muu’s) names and growth records: stored on your device. (The usage data in 1-2 only includes numbers such as how long a block lasted.)
- App Store purchases: purchases and subscriptions are verified on your device using Apple’s StoreKit. We do not send transaction records to our servers.
1-2. Information handled on our servers

1-3. Information collected on the website
- Access logs (IP address, browser type, date and time of access): collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to keep the website secure.
- How the website is used (pages viewed, time spent, where you came from, device and browser type, etc.): collected with Google Analytics using cookies to improve the website. This does not include information that identifies you, such as your name. See Google’s policy for how Google handles data. You can opt out with the opt-out browser add-on.
2. Sharing with third parties
We do not provide your information to third parties except as required by law. We entrust handling to the following providers, within the purposes above:
- Apple Inc. (App Store purchases and restores)
- Cloudflare, Inc. (server and website hosting)
- Google LLC (website analytics)
3. How long we keep information
- Referral records: 12 months after rewards have been provided
- Usage analytics: 400 days after we receive it
4. Your rights
You can ask us to disclose, correct or delete your information. Information on your device is deleted when you delete the App. Turning off “Share usage data” in Settings stops sending usage analytics and deletes the records on our servers. To delete referral records, contact us below with “Your invite code” (shown in “Invite friends” in the App). For questions about analytics records, include the “Record ID” shown at the bottom of the Settings screen.
5. Use by minors
The App is designed to be used by a person on their own device. It does not support parents managing a child’s device.
6. Changes
If we change this policy, we will let you know in the App or on the website.
